Job summary

Ridgemont Resources, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist for Imperial, CA and surrounding areas. This float role may move to Brawley and Calexico as needed. The schedule is 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential start times between 6 AM and 6 PM.

Projected duration is 3 months with potential for permanent placement. Competitive pay is offered, plus mileage reimbursement and standard benefits. Pediatric and geriatric experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens; update patient information and maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate vein collection techniques using straight or butterfly needles as directed.
• Match requisitions to specimens; label, centrifuge, split and freeze as required.
• Verify test requisitions and package specimens for transport per protocol.
• Store specimens at required temperatures and ensure proper labelling for transport.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer calls and communicate laboratory results to inquiries.
