United Future in Imperial CA is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential for permanent hire. Shifts run 6AM–6PM, Monday–Friday, with the possibility of float to nearby clinics in Brawley and Calexico. The role involves blood draws, specimen handling, and adherence to OSHA/DEP guidelines.

Duration is about 3 months with benefits available. Requires phlebotomy certification, 6 months venipuncture experience, and proficient MS Office skills.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes and package specimens for transport.
• Label, centrifuge, split and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Ensure 100% accuracy by checking test requisitions and labels.
