Job summary

LabCorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in West Monroe LA. The role involves collecting blood samples by venipuncture and capillary methods for patients of all ages, along with data entry and specimen preparation.

You will provide excellent service, travel to additional sites as needed, and support billing and administrative tasks. A phlebotomy certification or training is required, with preferred experience above 1 year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
