Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center. You will perform skilled specimen collections, provide exceptional customer service, and represent the company in interactions with patients. Opportunities for growth are available, with offers based on skills, experience, and certifications.

Schedule includes Monday-Saturday, AS NEEDED with a 19-hour weekly cap. Candidates must meet education/certification requirements and may travel to other sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or GED or equivalent; Phlebotomy certification or training, or 3 months phlebotomy experience.
• Preferred: 1 year or more phlebotomy experience.
• In lieu of work experience, phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency.
• Able to pass a color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
