Job summary

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility based in Johnson, City TN 37604. This is a 3 months assignment with potential extension or conversion and a Monday–Friday 8–5 shift.

The role requires at least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric samples, and emphasizes high standards of patient care and confidentiality. Travel to multiple locations may be needed.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Perform verification of patient demographic info / initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labelled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
• Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general.
