Job summary

Southern TN Regional Health System - Lawrenceburg is seeking a PRN Phlebotomist to join the lab team in a hospital setting. The role supports blood collection, specimen handling, and coordination with nursing for timely draws and test orders.

Eligibility includes a high school diploma (preferred) and phlebotomy certification (preferred), with BCLS as required by policy. The position involves days, nights, and weekends as needed and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review providers' orders and register patients; place appropriate lab orders.
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers prior to collection.
• Collect blood specimens via venipuncture, finger stick, or heel stick; collect urine, throat, and nasal samples as ordered.
• Label specimens with identifiers, date/time, and initials; ensure specimen integrity.
