SteveRecruiter, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist (Job code 6161) in Port Charlotte, FL. This contract role offers 3 months with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm, with benefits available.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, and adherence to lab procedures, OSHA and DEP regulations. Requires 2-4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience and strong patient interaction skills.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilités

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens, maintain data, and decontaminate.
• Collect and store specimens per established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend department trainings.
• Assist with troubleshooting and workflow improvements as needed.
