Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed is required.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and collect specimens.
• Label, centrifuge, and maintain specimen records.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Match lab requisitions to specimens and ensure accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store per protocol.
• Follow OSHA regulations and participate in annual trainings.
• Answer inquiries and communicate results as needed.
