Job summary

Top Echelon Software LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist in Washington, DC (Georgia Ave NW) to support a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm. The role involves long-term patient venipuncture tasks and adherence to lab protocols, with benefits available.

Ideal candidates will have a valid phlebotomy certification, 5+ years venipuncture experience in fast-paced environments, and proficiency with MS Office. High school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, and record maintenance data.
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Understand physicians' orders and match requisition forms to specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling and temperature control.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer calls and relay laboratory results as needed.
