Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. in Trinity, FL is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract assignment with potential for permanent placement. The role involves phlebotomy duties, specimen labeling, and processing while ensuring accurate patient data and adherence to OSHA/DEP guidelines.

The schedule is 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday with Saturday rotation. Requires at least 2 years of venipuncture experience and a state phlebotomy certification.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsabilités

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Follow physicians' orders; match requisitions; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Check test requisitions against scripts for accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport; store samples at required temperatures.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Respond to inquiries by reading laboratory results.
