Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract opportunity in Trinity, FL. The role runs 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with a rotating Saturday, for 3 months with potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, recording maintenance data, explaining the venipuncture process clearly to patients, following test orders, and ensuring OSHA/DEP regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• State phlebotomy certification as required in the employing state.
• Minimum 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience noted in listing.

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens per established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and others as required.
• Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles.
• Understand and follow physicians’ orders and match requisition forms to specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure correct labeling and storage.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
