Job summary

RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC seeks a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in Trinity, FL. Schedule is 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday with rotating Saturdays. Potential to convert to permanent. Minimum 2 years' experience and state phlebotomy certification required.

The role involves performing blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and handling specimens per protocol, while maintaining patient information and safety standards. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• 6+ months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight or butterfly needles.
• Understand physicians' orders in detail.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, split, and freeze as needed.
• Check test requisitions or labels for accuracy (100%).
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper temperature storage.
