Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking a Phlebotomist in Trinity, FL for a contract position with potential for permanent placement. The role requires a valid phlebotomy certification (state-dependent) and at least 2 years of experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, and proper handling and transport of samples. The schedule is 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with Saturday rotation.

Qualifications

Valid Phlebotomy certification as required in some states.
Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
Explain clearly the venipuncture process and other specimen collection as required.
Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles.
Understand physicians' orders and match requisitions to specimens before processing.
Package specimens for transport and store per protocol, maintaining specimen integrity.
