Joseph Michaels International is seeking a Phlebotomist for Trinity, FL on a contract basis with potential to convert to permanent employment. The role involves blood draws, specimen handling, labeling, and adherence to OSHA standards in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsabilités

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information., etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique using straight or butterfly needles.
• Understand physicians' orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Label, centrifuge, and process specimens per test order.
• Ensure test requisitions match labels and scripts for accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store per required temperatures.
• Attend annual department trainings and comply with OSHA regulations.
• Answer calls and relay laboratory results as needed.
