Job summary

Centers Laboratory of New Jersey in Hazlet, NJ is seeking Phlebotomists to join our laboratory team. Shift starts at 4 am; candidates must have reliable transportation and over 3 years of nursing home phlebotomy experience.

As a phlebotomist, you will collect blood samples, prepare specimens, label tubes, and ensure safety and accuracy. The role requires strict adherence to procedures and the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy Technician certificate preferred.
• Without certificate must have completed a hospital or major lab training program.
• Understanding of standard blood drawing practices and procedures.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Willing to work nights, evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Must be capable of collecting and processing Covid-19 tests.
• Able to maintain patient confidentiality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients and prepare them for blood draws.
• Assemble supplies and perform specimen collection per standards.
• Draw blood using proper techniques and ensure test tubes are labeled.
• Monitor patient and respond to questions or concerns.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary working space and dispose of waste safely.
• Process Covid-19 tests if trained.
