Job summary

The Blood Connection, Incorporated is seeking a Phlebotomist to screen and collect whole blood from donors, including autologous and therapeutic donors, following SOPs and FDA standards.

You will perform donor health histories, venipuncture, and operate automated collection systems, while maintaining accurate run sheets and logs.

This role requires excellent customer service, flexibility for varied hours including weekends, and the ability to adapt to changing schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• National Phlebotomy certification preferred or 2+ years of phlebotomy experience.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow SOPs in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs donor health history and physical assessment according to SOPs.
• Performs venipuncture and biochemical collection as applicable.
• Sets up automated collection system for automated procedures.
• Ensures proper labeling, storage and transport of units.
• Provides post-phlebotomy care and donor reaction support.
• Maintains required paperwork and logs per SOP and regulatory standards.
