Job summary

The Blood Connection, Incorporated is seeking a Phlebotomist to screen and collect blood from allogeneic donors and trigger pts. You will perform venipuncture, operate automated collection systems, and provide post-donation care while maintaining strict SOP and regulatory compliance.

You will ensure donor safety, quality control, and accurate documentation. The role requires excellent customer service, flexibility with weekend hours, and readiness to adapt to changing schedules or locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• National Phlebotomy certification preferred or two or more years of Phlebotomy experience required.
• Valid Driver's License with no major infractions and dependable transportation.
• Excellent customer services skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to follow SOP in a heavily FDA regulated environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors, and co-workers.
• Ability to work with all levels and in a diverse work environment.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and peers.

Responsibilities

• Performs on-site recruitment for automated donors when schedule is not full.
• Performs on-site recruitment for whole blood collections when donor flow is slow.
• Screens prospective donors through medical history and testing results.
• Performs donor health history and physical assessment per SOPs.
• Sets up and primes automated collection system.
• Keeps donor area stocked with required materials.
