Job summary

The Blood Connection, Incorporated is seeking a Phlebotomist to screen and collect whole blood from donors, including automated products, in accordance with SOPs and regulatory standards.

The role requires excellent customer service, flexibility with hours including weekends, and the ability to adapt to scheduling changes with short notice. Strong adherence to safety and quality procedures is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• National Phlebotomy certification preferred or 2+ years phlebotomy experience.
• Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to read, understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to follow SOP in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Donor Scheduling: onsite recruitment for automated and whole-blood donors when flow is slow.
• Donor Eligibility: screen donors via medical history, mini physical, and tests.
• Donor Collection: perform health history, venipuncture, set up automated system, provide post‑care.
• Quality Assurance: perform collection per SOP, FDA regs, and AABB standards; document QC.
