Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Plasma Donor Screener/Phlebotomist at BioLife Plasma Services in Glendale, AZ. You will greet donors, perform screening, and collect vital signs while maintaining donor safety and data accuracy.

This role requires working evenings, weekends, and holidays, with glove-wear due to bloodborne pathogen exposure. Excellent customer service and precise record-keeping are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• Prolonged glove wear due to exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• 1+ years experience in a customer or patient facing role (helpful).

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donor safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes per procedures.
• Support donors across varied shifts including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
