Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Plymouth, IN is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist for the Day shift. You will obtain blood and other specimens per physician orders, verify patient ID, prepare the site and perform venipunctures with aseptic technique, then label and transport specimens to the Lab for analysis.

Requirements include HS diploma or GED; post-HS phlebotomy training preferred. PBT (ASCP) certification or equivalent and at least one year of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; post-HS phlebotomy training preferred.
• PBT (ASCP) Certification or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood and other specimens per physician orders.
• Verify patient identification and prepare skin site for venipuncture using aseptic technique.
• Label specimens and transport to Laboratory for analysis.
