Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Hampstead, MD. The role includes blood collection by venipuncture, specimen handling, data entry, and providing excellent patient service.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training, with preference for 1 year of phlebotomy experience. Flexibility for overtime and travel to sites is noted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
