Job summary

Labcorp in Glen Burnie, MD is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. Schedule is Monday–Friday 9:00am–5:30pm with one Saturday per month 9:00am–1:00pm. Responsibilities include venipuncture, specimen handling, data entry and basic billing support.

Minimum qualifications: high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or 3+ months experience. Travel to additional sites may be required; strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately into the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites as required.
