Job summary

Labcorp in Lansdowne, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, specimen handling, data entry, and client service. Travel to other sites may be required.

Pay ranges from $17.75 to $26.00 per hour with eligibility for PST incentive plans. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training, with preference for prior phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist.
• Color-blindness test requirement.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
