Job summary

Labcorp in Christiansburg, VA seeks a Phlebotomist to join our team. Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, prepare specimens, and ensure accurate data entry.

Pay range: $17.75–$26.00 per hour. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). A high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training are required; 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months+ experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
