Job summary

Essenti Talent is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in San Antonio, TX, with a float position covering locations within a 10-15 mile radius.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm (8-hour shift). Projected duration is 3 months with potential for permanent placement. Requires at least 1 year of diagnostic phlebotomy experience and certification; basic MS Office proficiency is also desired.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and venipuncture with proper technique.
• Label, centrifuge, and process specimens according to protocol.
• Record maintenance data and decontamination steps accurately.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients and ensure specimen integrity.
• Package and transport specimens following required temperature controls and regulations.
