Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws and venipuncture; label and process specimens.
• Record maintenance data and decontamination; update patient information.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection procedures clearly to patients.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes; ensure correct labeling.
• Package specimens for transport; store per required temperatures.
