Sora Resource Group in Washington DC is seeking a contract Phlebotomist to support a fast-paced laboratory environment. The role focuses on blood draws, specimen labeling, and data entry to ensure accurate test processing.

Responsibilities include collecting and storing specimens, explaining venipuncture procedures to patients, following safety protocols, and participating in required trainings. This 3-month assignment offers benefits and potential for permanent placement.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 5 work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsabilidades

• Experience performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain clearly the venipuncture process to patients in a courteous manner.
• Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles.
• Ensure test requisitions match scripts and label correctly.
