Qualifications

• Must have valid phlebotomy certification as required by the state of employment.
• Minimum 5 years of venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab or hospital settings.
• High school diploma or GED required; proficiency with MS Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Collects and stores specimens according to procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Demonstrate needle techniques (straight and butterfly).
• Verify physicians' orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling.
