Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a contract phlebotomist in Washington DC to support the lab on a 3-month project with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 7:30am–4pm. Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling, processing specimens, and ensuring specimen integrity.

Minimum qualifications include state phlebotomy certification and at least 5 years of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital, plus a high school diploma or GED. Proficiency with MS Office is desired.

• Minimum 5 years of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High school diploma or GED; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and collect/store specimens per procedures.
• Label, centrifuge, and maintain accurate patient information.
• Explain the blood draw process clearly and courteously.
• Match requisitions to tubes and ensure correct labeling.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain integrity per protocol.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
• Answer calls and relay lab results as needed.
