Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification as required in some states
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a fast-paced lab or clinical setting

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients
• Verify test requisitions, match forms to tubes, and package specimens for transport
• Ensure specimens are stored per protocol and comply with OSHA/DEP regulations
• Attend annual department trainings and answer inquiries by phone or review lab results
