Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking a Phlebotomist (ID: 5984) for a Shelby, NC contract role. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with an initial duration of 3 months and potential for permanent placement.

The role requires a valid phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required by the employing state.
• At least 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws using venipuncture with straight or butterfly needles.
• Label specimens, centrifuge, and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and caregivers.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage per protocol.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
• Respond to inquiries and communicate results as needed.
