Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC seeks a Phlebotomist in Shelby, NC for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is typical daytime hours, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with benefits available.

Minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred and phlebotomy certification is required. Duties include blood draws, specimen handling, labeling, and compliance with OSHA/DEP regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and a High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and explains venipuncture process clearly.
• Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles and ensure correct labeling and storage of specimens.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes, label, centrifuge, and split specimens as required by test orders.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper temperature control and regulatory compliance.
