Joseph Michaels International is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Manassas, VA. The position supports phlebotomy across ages and requires data entry and computer skills. Schedule is Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with a projected 3 months plus potential for permanent placement.

Minimum qualifications include state phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months venipuncture experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Some travel to the Manassas location may occur.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsabilités

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Ensure test requisitions or labels match scripts for 100% accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per required temperatures.
