Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC seeks a Phlebotomist in Greenwich, CT to support blood collection, specimen handling, and workflow improvements in a fast-paced lab. The role is a contract position with a 3-month projected duration and potential for permanent placement.

Schedule is 8am-5pm, Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays. Minimum 2 years of experience and a valid Phlebotomy certification are required; MS Office proficiency and OSHA guidelines compliance are essential, with training opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• Certification as phlebotomist where required by state.
• At least 12 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws and labeling specimens; centrifuging and maintaining data.
• Collect and store specimens according to procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
