Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract position in Vista, CA. The role runs 6 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential early starts or late finishes depending on location and occasional weekend coverage.

Projected duration is 3 months with potential to convert to permanent. The main duties include performing blood draws, labeling and transporting specimens, following procedures, and communicating results.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
