Job summary

Htprof in Vista, CA is seeking a contract phlebotomist for approximately 3 months with potential to convert to permanent. Shifts run 6 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday, with weekend rotation as needed.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, handling specimens, maintaining records, and communicating clearly with patients. Requires phlebotomy certification, 6 months venipuncture experience, MS Office proficiency, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification required by state
• Venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab or hospital setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic data entry
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen labeling.
• Centrifuge, package and transport specimens per protocol.
• Document maintenance data and update patient information accurately.
• Explain venipuncture procedure clearly and courteously to patients.
• Ensure test requisitions match labels and maintain specimen integrity.
• Follow OSHA/DEP regulations and attend department trainings.
• Answer inquiries and read lab results to satisfy requests.
