Food Management Search, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist (contract) in Castleton-on-Hudson, NY, with alternating Saturdays in Latham. The role requires 2 years of phlebotomy experience and offers benefits. Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:00pm, plus alternating Saturdays 7:00am-3:00pm. Duration: 3 months with potential for permanent hire.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, processing, and compliance with OSHA/DEP regulations. Experience in a fast-paced lab environment is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification required for the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsabilités

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, and data maintenance.
• Collects and stores specimens per established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.
• Store samples at required temperatures and transport per protocol.
