Job summary

KingRecruitingServices seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Castleton, NY (with alternating Saturdays at Latham). The position involves blood draws, specimen labeling, and processing under supervision, with a projected duration of 3 months and potential conversion to permanent placement.

M-F 7:30am-4:00pm, possible Saturday hours, in a fast-paced lab setting. Qualified candidates will have phlebotomy certification, 6+ months venipuncture experience, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months’ work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and collect blood specimens.
• Label, centrifuge, and prepare specimens for testing.
• Maintain proper documentation and patient data.
• Explain procedures clearly and courteously to patients.
• Ensure specimens are stored and transported per protocol.
• Adhere to OSHA/DEP regulations and department trainings.
