Top Echelon Software LLC seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Castleton, NY, with alternating Saturdays in Latham. Schedule is Monday–Friday 7:30am–4:00pm, Saturdays 7:00am–1:00pm. Qualifications

• 2 years of phlebotomy experience required.
• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and butterfly needles; match orders to requisitions.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure specimen integrity for transport.
