Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Phlebotomist in Greer, SC for a 3‑month contract with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Requires 1+ year of diagnostic phlebotomy experience and valid state phlebotomy certification.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, maintaining data, and adhering to OSHA/DEP regulations. Benefits are available for this contract position.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients and other specimen collections.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure correct labeling.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples according to required temperatures.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings.
