Job summary

KLA Industries is seeking a phlebotomist to float across the Waukegan and Chicago area on a contract basis. Candidates must be available 8am-7:30pm with varied locations, and the role includes routine phlebotomy duties and specimen handling.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, labeling, centrifuging, and maintaining accurate patient data, while adhering to OSHA regulations and department trainings. Benefits are available for this temporary assignment.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification as required by state.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label and centrifuge specimens, and record maintenance data.
• Collect and store specimens according to procedures; ensure patient information accuracy.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate phlebotomy techniques with straight or butterfly needles.
• Ensure test requisitions match specimen labels and prepare specimens for transport.
