Responsibilities

Experience performing blood draws, labeling specimens and centrifuging.
Record maintenance data and decontamination; update patient information.
Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
Match lab requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split, freeze as required.
Package specimens for transport and store samples per protocol.
Follow OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
Answer calls and read lab results to satisfy inquiries.
