Htprof seeks a contract phlebotomist to support blood draws, labeling, centrifuging and specimen handling across Waukegan and Chicago. Duties include maintaining accurate records, preparing specimens for transport, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Availability for 8:00–19:30 shifts and potential for permanent placement is noted. The role requires phlebotomy certification, 6 months of venipuncture experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where employed
• Minimum of 6 months’ venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and specimen handling
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients
• Match requisitions to specimens and ensure correct labeling
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend department trainings
• Schedule includes 8am–7:30pm with location coverage across Waukegan and Chicago area
