Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and explains venipuncture clearly.
• Matches requisition forms to specimen tubes and packages specimens for transport.
• Ensure correct labeling, temperature control, and OSHA/DEP compliance; attend trainings.
