Job summary

Management Performance Associates in Vista, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential to convert to permanent. The main duties include blood draws, specimen labeling, and proper handling of specimens following established procedures.

Hours are 6 AM–6 PM, Monday–Friday, with weekend rotation as needed. Mileage reimbursement is provided and a valid phlebotomy certification is required.

A clean driving record and reliable transportation are required; benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
