Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups in a Patient Service Center or client site. You will ensure accurate data entry, prepare specimens, and provide outstanding customer service.

In this role, you may travel to additional sites, perform administrative duties, and participate in the PST Incentive Plan where applicable, with opportunities for growth within Labcorp.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
