Job summary

Labcorp in New Carlisle, OH is hiring a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections for all ages, prepare specimens for testing, enter patient data, and travel to additional sites as needed.

The role emphasizes outstanding patient service, accurate documentation, and reliable transportation. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training; 2 years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience.
• Evidence of exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team, with flexibility for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
