Medical City Arlington is seeking a phlebotomist to perform specimen collection and processing for laboratory testing. You will greet patients, collect specimens via finger sticks, heelsticks, or venipunctures, and enter data into the LIS.

Clerical duties include answering calls and coordinating with lab teams. The role requires phlebotomy experience or certification, with BLS within 30 days of hire; acute care hospital experience is preferred.

Formación

• Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience required or Certification through a clinical phlebotomy program may be considered in lieu of experience
• HR diploma or GED required
• Acute care hospital experience is strongly preferred
• Skilled phlebotomy technique; BLS within 30 days of hire

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients and instruct them in proper specimen collection methods.
• Draw blood specimens by finger sticks, heelsticks, or venipunctures and collect other specimens as required.
• Label specimens for identification and enter data into the computer.
• Prepare samples for microbiology, hematology, serology, blood bank, and urinalysis departments.
• Assist with clerical duties by answering telephone calls.
