Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• National phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in an acute hospital setting or phlebotomy role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and dermal skin specimen collections using aseptic technique.
• Label specimens accurately and prepare for transport.
• Document specimen information in the laboratory information system.
• Clean and maintain phlebotomy equipment.
• Follow HIPAA and safety/infection control guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
