Job summary

Bay Area Hospital is hiring a Phlebotomist Clerical Support for a full-time 4x10s schedule. You will obtain blood specimens from patients of all ages, perform clerical duties, and operate the Lab Information System to process orders and results.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and preferred certification as a Phlebotomist. You must demonstrate accurate labeling, confidentiality, and strong communication in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Registered as a Certified Laboratory Phlebotomist with a national certification agency preferred.
• Experience with HIS and LIS computer systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient before obtaining specimens.
• Collect blood specimens from all ages using correct tubes.
• Label specimens accurately.
• Collect urine drug screens for employment, for cause, and accidents.
• Perform clerical functions and use Lab Info System.
• Maintain inventories of collection supplies.
